Position Summary:

Maintains customer specifications files; reviews customer drawings and data; translates customer language into standard procedures and product flow.
Review and document manufacturing processes and workflows electronically which could include photos and illustrations to transform technical documents into understandable process plans.
Review engineering procedures to determine most effective and efficient language for the end user. Observe and interview operators and engineers to better understand subject matter.

Additional responsibilities:
Review and document, in writing, manufacturing processes and work flow.
Meet with operations, engineering, and Solumina personnel to clarify and validate process and data.
Continuously learn Solumina software: formatting, language, guidelines, formulas and equations, (training provided).
Enter validated manufacturing processes and flow into Solumina.
Take and/or add photos, illustrations, etc. too documentation.
Follow safety requirements of the process area you are working in.

Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and 2 year’s additional education and/or related experience.
Candidates with and degree in English, Technical Writing or equivalent training and/or experience are highly desired.
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and production flow.
Excellent written communication including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Strong commitment to accuracy.
Command of MS Office.
Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Disciplined and self-managed with ability to focus and drive to meet deadlines.

This position falls under a Federal Explosives License issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for this location. Candidates hired into this role will be required to complete and submit an Employee Possessor Questionnaire to ATF for approval to be a possessor.
