The Supplier Development Quality Specialist will provide quality support to production operations, ensuring the integrity of components and products purchased from suppliers meet engineering requirements and/or purchase specifications. The individual will aggressively drive quality improvements; ensure company standards are adhered to, and driving organizational initiatives towards achieving “zero defects” performance. The individual will foster cross functional support to implement process improvements and problem-solving efforts for the supply base, to focus on protecting and improving incoming product quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Technical Degree, preferably in engineering with machining background or related experience, minimum of 5 years’ experience. Experience can be substituted for educational requirements.
- Experience with Quality Management System(s) to include knowledge of NQA 1, 10FR50 Appendix B, ISO 9001, and other related Quality Programs
- Desired Excel, Word, Power Point, and SAP systems.
- Knowledge of shop operations and manufacturing processes.
- Strong Analytical Problem Solving Skills.
- Well-developed Interpersonal Skills.
- 50-70% travel required. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as business needs dictate.
- Highest Level of Ethics and Professionalism.
- Strong tactical plan and time self-management skills.
- Able to work with manufacturing at all levels of the organization.
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of and experience with inspection equipment and techniques, root cause and failure analysis, machine and assembly processes, problem solving, team facilitation, dimensional tolerances, and product/process change management.
- Certification as a Lead Quality Auditor is desirable.
