The Quality Manager is responsible for the overall management of the Quality Program. Administer, trouble shoot and provide root cause analysis on product issues, customer concerns, and problems. The Quality Manager will have heavy communication and collaboration with the Manufacturing, Sales, Engineering, Quality, and R&D teams.

Responsibilities / Job Duties:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Quality Management team
  • Administer corrective actions based on customer issues and per ISO guidelines
  • Work with Procurement to drive Corrective/Preventive actions (CAPA) in supply chain when necessary
  • Trouble shoot product issues and customer issues/concerns and drive improvement through statistical process control techniques
  • Generate reports using statistical data
  • Actively participates in product development and minimizes change risk by performing process failure mode analysis (PFMEA)
  • Manage process audit functions to ensure compliance with procedures
  • Ensures that production and test equipment is accurately calibrated and maintained

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Experienced in GD&T. Demonstrated ability to understand notes, call-outs, regular and geometric tolerances
  • Proven track record of managing and developing teams of employees
  • Prior experience working in an ISO or AS environment, with a preference on ISO 13485
  • Must have very strong communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Detail oriented, able to review various documents for accuracy
  • Must have strong computer skills, specifically Excel
  • Must be a self-starter, able to make independent decisions and drive project completion without constant supervision
  • Willing to work extended hours and weekends when necessary to complete projects tasks on time

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have at least 3 years quality management experience in a precision manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Operations, or applicable experience
  • Solid foundation in Statistical Process Control
  • Internal and external (supplier) auditing experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years’ Quality Management experience
  • Automotive quality control experience a plus
  • Master’s Degree in engineering field
  • More than 5 years’ experience in a precision manufacturing environment
  • CQE certification or equivalent
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
