Join Ecolab’s chemical manufacturing plant as our Production Manager II in Martinsburg, WV. As Production Manager II you will help transform the chemical manufacturing culture to a TPM production culture. We are seeking manager with experience in food, beverage or chemical production who enjoys developing people and seeing them grow in their careers.

Gain recognition for successfully engaging your team in the TPM culture change in this highly visible role where you will report to the Plant Manager and have interaction with divisional business leaders, Global Supply Chain functional leaders, and peers on the plant leadership team to continuously improve and develop the processes in chemical manufacturing, safety quality, planning, procurement and distribution.

Main Responsibilities

  • Evolve the manufacturing safety culture; where the production manager leads by example and manages the transition from safety is important to having a team where 100% of the employees are engaged in achieving 0 accidents, 0 First Aids and 0 Process Safety Tier 1/2 events.
  • Inspires the manufacturing team as you embrace TPM practices and use your ability to listen and communicate transparently to encourage every single person to think Lean and act proactively to make changes that will save time and reduce manufacturing waste.
  • Responsible to manage the operations of all production departments in the plant. Ensures production meets the goals of product quality, cost effectiveness, safe conditions and customer satisfaction.
  • Reports issues regarding production quality maintenance or personnel problems. Responsible to manage plant in the absence of the plant manager.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Engineering, Sciences, or Supply Chain Management.
  • 8+ years manufacturing experience
  • 5+ years manufacturing supervisory experience
  • 5+ years production experience in a food, chemical, beverage or related batch and ISO 9001 manufacturing environment.
  • 4+ years of experience in at least 2 operations functional areas, e.g. Production, Distribution, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, Compliance or HR

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering or math strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Technical Degree or MBA
  • 5 + years of experience applying TPM in a Lean manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years production experience in a food, chemical, beverage or related batch and ISO 9001 manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in cross-functional project or program management
  • Knowledge of supply chain financial measurements of Operations, Capital Management experience
  • Extensive experience using MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), ERP and other relevant computer software and systems effectively
