Direct Hire Positions:
MAAX Bath Inc. engages in the design, development, manufacture, and distribution of bathroom products for the residential housing market in North America and internationally. MAAX markets its products through various distribution channels, including wholesalers, showrooms, specialty retailers, and home centers. The company was founded in 1969 and is headquartered in Savannah, TN.
Variety of 2nd Shift positions available:
Fiberglass Laminators (rollers): Roll out material mixture with a roller (similar to a paint roller in shape and size), while maintaining a pace to conform with the speed of the production line. The mixture is rolled to eliminate air bubbles and separation.
Finishers: Find and correct imperfections on the final product by wiping with a cloth, sanding with varying grits of sandpaper, and buffing with an electric buffer or air buffer. The employee is responsible for correcting the imperfections on the units and then buffing the units to bring back the shine and quality appearance.
Drill Operators: Use air saws and grinders to trim and drill holes in units. With a 2-person team, be able to push,
pull, or manipulate units weighing up to 200 pounds with use of a hand cart
Packagers: Prepares bath units by properly reinforcing, packaging, identifying, and labeling bath units before shipping to allow them to arrive at their destination in good condition. Moves unfinished units from and to various departments (using a hand cart). Assist in maintaining organization and neatness in the warehouse (correct placement of bath units).
Mold Preppers: To prepare and clean molds for gelcoating by applying wax to molds and wiping it off, place tape on required areas of molds, and assign a bar code ticket to the molds.
Spray Gun Operators: While following Standard Work Processes, employee is responsible for applying the correct amount of a combination of polyester resin, catalyst and fiberglass onto bath and shower molds. Employee is responsible for checking to ensure that the correct thickness of material has been applied. Employee must be able to maneuver the spray gun in a variety of above head and below shoulders positions.
