As Logistics Team Leader you must be a self-directed achiever able to wear the many hats of management, leading a dedicated team of hourly associates on a shift at our Martinsburg, WV distribution center. Gain recognition for improving key performance indicators as you cross train your team to be able to move fluidly from picking to loading to get deliveries out efficiently according to priority and to achieve targeted metrics.
This is a third shift position with hours 11pm-7am.
What You Will Do:
Shift leader for a team of 15 to 25 hourly associates.
Execute Supply Chain strategy.
Communicate and reinforces logistics plans. Maintain clear communication and close co-operation with customer service, manufacturing, and major suppliers/vendors.
Works with quality, planning, manufacturing, carriers and customers to proactively avoid and resolve quality/service issues relating to logistics.
Coordinates operational redesign projects to improve performance and meet customer needs.
Generates and implements innovations for logistical competitive advantage that improve performance. Implements Lean concepts & practices.
Supervises logistics activities (storage, shipping) including: inventory control, warehousing, transportation, logistics planning. Communicates standard logistics metrics to direct reports.
Resolves quality, service & cost issues timely.

Previous leadership/supervisory experience, in a high volume high SKU distribution environment

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or Operations Management, Logistics, Transportation, Engineering, or related concentration
Knowledge of logistics functions
Knowledge of financial or cost analysis and measurements of Logistics
Experience with industrial safety practices, and procedures
Project Management experience
Strong computer proficiency with SAP, Excel, and Word
