Performs manual work within generally defined work instructions which contributes to the achievement of expected production volumes.

Uses a variety of hand tools to prepare and apply Wear Resistant Materials to equipment such as rubber, industrial ceramic tile and wear
resistant compounds.

  • Identify different types of lining materials
  • Use safe rigging practice on various heavy metal shapes
  • Safe practices for hand grinding
  • Operate a saw to cut ceramic and tungsten carbide tiles and rubber
  • Mix and apply compounds used as adhesives
  • Apply various lining materials to various products as per blue prints and client specifications
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to FLSmidth safety procedures and regulations.
  • As part of job enrichment, and at the company’s discretion, cross training in other areas will be given

Requirements

The job has no supervisory responsibilities

  • 2 years’ experience
  • Computer skills: ability to use the computer for time tracking purposes
  • Understanding of lining materials and how they affect the performance of the product

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
