We currently have two openings for a Laborer at our Parkersburg manufacturing facility. _There are no relocation funds or employment sponsorship available for this position. _

SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE:
The Laborer is responsible for assisting with coating and lining machines, hand blasting, hand patching, cleaning pipe, and mixing paint.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in testing pipe.
  • Assists in prepping pipe.
  • Assists in operation of expander.
  • Assists in operation of beveller.
  • Operates crane.
  • Operates small forklift.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

WORK HOURS / SHIFT:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
