- Perform day-to-day preventive maintenance to electrical equipment and instrumentation as assigned
- Perform troubleshooting and necessary repairs to electrical equipment and instrumentation as needed
- Applies journeyman skills, experience, and general knowledge of theory to a wide range of tasks including but not limited to conduit installation, pulling wire, replacement of motors, lighting, motor starters, and circuit breakers.
- Uses all shop machinery and hand tools
- Keep detailed written records of repairs and/or maintenance performed
- Instrument calibration, field and shop repairs to control valves, analyzers, and PLC’s as needed.
- Consults with engineers and vendors
- Position often requires overtime
- Performs other tasks incidental to principal skills and performs other duties as assigned

- Requirements
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
- High School Diploma / GED
- 3 - 5 years of experience with similar work – either instrumentation, electronics, electrical controls, or higher voltage (over 440 volts) work
- Excellent oral and written skills
- West Virginia Journeyman’s license
The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit :
- Trade School - instrumentation, electronics, electrical controls
- Union electrician’s apprenticeship program completion
- ISA level 1 or equivalent certification
- Electronics and instrumentation background a plus
