The IT department is seeking someone for the position of Electronic Engineer. This position is part of the Technology Enhanced Classroom Initiative (TECI) and will be Afternoon/Evening shift. The purpose of this position is to integrate instructional technology equipment and best practices into University learning spaces and to support faculty in teaching, learning and technology activities. This position will serve as a key part of project teams, supporting implementation through tool management, media development, and research of emerging technologies. This position will aid in the development and training of faculty workshops and generally support the efforts of the technology enhanced classrooms and other learning and meeting spaces on all Marshall University campuses.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (include certifications):

Successful candidate should have experience with Microsoft operating systems and have experience with multimedia & presentation technology. Knowledge of analog and digital audio and video technology, data networks, servers, archive, distribution systems and video conferencing technologies. Good people skills providing engineering support, by telephone, in-person or via online assistance to instructors and other users. Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds and possess a valid driver’s license.
